Spot on. Not happy about it. At this point, the corruption is just brazen. And unsustainable.

It's sustainable in the sense that as long as the ratings are high, this cash-grab can continue. But the sport itself will continue to devolve into something completely unrecognizable.

But because it's a cash grab and the corruption is so brazen, this will sooner than later become an anti-trust situation. And in the near-term, possibly fraud, via the courts. There is too much money involved to just let it go. See the letter released by FL Sen. Rick Scott. The hints he dropped were not subtle. NCAA wants Congress to get involved with NIL. We'll, they might just have stumbled their way into a congressional investigation of the CFP and ESPN, with labor law implications thrown in as icing on the cake.

Count me in the group believing Congress won't make this situation any better. When was the last time they made anything better?

Precisely, but the politics and money are such that there will be pressure to do something. Hearings on Capitol Hill would (will?) be a clown show, but subpoenas are where the action is. Best thing Congress could do would be to force transparency.
